La campagne en vidéo

The majority of women, the 2018 team prepares the next expedition from December 2017. Their goal: to perpetuate the project.

In the continuity of this adventure, Lucie, Marie, Marine and Sarah embark on the sailboat "Le Labo" from March to July 2018 for her second expedition with an ambitious program:

Strengthen the scientific aspect with a new program: the study of the impact of microplastics on living organisms, from bacteria to whales. The goal is to sustain partnerships for future expeditions.

Integrate the new scientific program into the circular economy as an environmental follow-up. Tey also consolidate the awareness program.

Composition de l'équipage

Sarah

Responsible for the ketology component, in charge of partnerships

Highly educated by his family on the environmental challenges of climate change, his studies at AgroParisTech have strengthened his desire to engage in meaningful projects. For Sarah, Sea Plastics combines two passions, the sea and biology, and this adventure, at once scientific, sporting and human, allows it to act concretely and take part in the fight for a better world.

Marine

Responsible for logistics, expert turtles

Already a tiny girl, Marine cruised the ocean aboard her grandparents' sailboat. She never lost that love she had for the sea. So she decided to take part in the Sea Plastics adventure. His training at AgroParisTech has given him multidisciplinary skills to understand the challenges of plastic pollution on the marine ecosystem and share them with passion to the greatest number.

Marie

Head of Microbiology
and communication

A M2 student at Paul Sabatier University in Toulouse, Marie specializes in the molecular genetics of microorganisms. Her academic background and her experience in designing popular science events set Sea Plastics on a new course: bringing together the public and the world of research around one issue that is very important to all of us, namely plastic pollution. and its impact on marine ecosystems.

Lucie

Awareness Manager

Lucie was able to discover by sailing the immensity of the marine world last year, and this immediately caused her a deep desire to communicate around these invisible ecosystems. Environmental management is the main focus of his studies at AgroParisTech and being able to invest this knowledge for such an environmental issue makes Sea Plastics a meaningful adventure.

Florian

Skipper

Florian has been sailing since a young age. Passionate about the sea, he became a sailor and skipper of the Sea Plastics project to protect and make known the environment he loves so much.
